Harborough District Council was due to consider the draft Local Plan 2011-2031 on Monday 10th July. The reason given was “…… to allow for the completion of a report by an external consultant.”
The Local Plan has taken over 4 years to develop. This latest delay means that the public will now only get the statutory minimum 6 weeks to comment on the plan.
The new timetable is that the Executive will consider the draft Local Plan on 4th September and the Council will consider/agree the plan on Monday 18th September. Following this, the draft Local Plan will go out for public consultation.
SAVE THE DATE – Monday 18th SEPTEMBER AT 6PM.
MPISBE planning to demonstrate outside the Council Offices before the Council meeting on Monday 18th September to show just how much our elected representatives are out of touch with what local residents actually want.
